What kind of formal education are the chiropractic schools teaching in terms of understanding pain? I know 11 years ago when I graduated we had a few lectures about nociception and the neural pathways and networks involved in bottom up processing. Things have significantly changed. This pic is a nice summary of the various factors involved in a pain experience and you can see a lot of it is psychosocial. Something for the students to keep in mind when treating the whole person.
