High-velocity, low-amplitude manipulation (HVLA) does not alter three-dimensional position of sacroiliac joint in healthy men: A quasi-experimental study HVLA does not alter mobility of the SIJ in healthy individuals. There were trends towards an increase in mobility of the treated SIJ and reduction in the opposing one. Further studies are required to assess mobility of SIJ submitted to HVLA under different conditions, especially in vulnerable groups such as pain symptomatic and female subjects. A better understanding of movements of the SIJ and the effects of HVLA manipulation is required.
