Scientists named as new professors at University of Southern Demark.

CHIROPRACTORS NAMED AS NEW PROFESSORS AT UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN DENMARK. Two new full professorships have been conferred on chiropractors who are renowned scientists at leading universities in Denmark.Lise Hestbaek has been a senior researcher at the Nordic Institute of Chiropractic and Clinical Biomechanics (NIKKB) since 2007 and an Associate Professor in the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics since 2008.Professor Hestbaek's recent research interests have focused on spinal pain in the pediatric population, the effect of spinal manipulation on headaches in children, the relationship between pubertal growth and spinal pain, and the association between psychological and social factors and spinal pain in adolescents.

Previously on staff at the regional hospital in Silkeborg, Denmark, since 2018 Tue Secher Jensen has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Aarhus University.He is also a Senior Researcher at NIKKB.Professor Jensen's recent publications have focused on a consultation-based reassurance questionnaire for low back pain sufferers, the association between Modic changes and low back pain, and guideline compliance amongst chiropractors in cases of acute and chronic low back pain.
